Nightgown

I never thought when I had a daughter that she would absolutely love dresses (I am not a big fan.) Well now she has gotten to the point where she wants to wear dresses all the time, including bed time. I was at Walmart and was going to buy her a nightgown but the ones they had were $14. For those with toddlers you know, that's expensive for something they'll grow out of in a month. So I decided I would go and check out the patterns. I found a cute pattern for $3 then when and found fabric for $5.50. That's $6 cheaper. I also cut out each size for the night gown on some cheap fabric I've had so that when she grows out of the one I just made I don't have to buy the pattern again.
She loves it. She kept asking me if I was done and asking if she could wear it when I was done.
It's a little big but its a size three and she's not quite there for size.

Fleece Hat

All parents know that children grow very quickly. My daughter is almost three and every season we have to buy her new clothes. We had to buy her a new jacket, snow pants, the works. I decided that instead of buying her a new hat I would make her one. I made it out have black fleece and added a purple and gray flower to match her jacket and pants. She loves wearing it, sometimes we have a hard time getting it off of her.
She wore it while we were at a Christmas Festival in Levenworth, WA.
It kept her ears nice and warm.

Baby Ball

My daughter loves the Disney Princesses and so I decided to make her a ball. Each panel has a different princess. It's nice and soft so babies can pick them up. And if they accidentily get hit it won't hurt.

Dresses

This past summer my daughter has become OBSESSED with dresses. Every day "mommy can I wear a dress?" It started to get a little frustrating because we had a very limited number of dresses. It was time to break out the good old sewing machine. I bought a pattern at Walmart (an easy one, since it was my first dress) She loved the dresses. She also loved the pants and shirt that came as part of the pattern. Each one also comes with a matching headband.

Chap Stick Holder

I don't know about you guys but I loose my chap stick all the time, especially when I put it in my purse. It falls to the bottom and then just disappears. So I decided enough is enough and made a holder.
Here's the Pattern: (NOTE: the pattern below made the chap stick holder in the picture above)

Using an I crochet hook and worsted weight yarn
Ch 3
6hdc in first ch to form ring (do not join)
HDC around until the desired length. Join and fasten off.
*NOTE depending on the yarn you may have to alter the number of stitches into the first ch.
Keep a chap stick tube nearby when making this so that you can check the gauge.

Stacking Bugs

Your traditional stacking rings but crocheted. There's a bumblebee ring, ladybug ring, and dragonfly ring all can be stacked on a lily pad base and frog post. It's soft so no worries for babies dropping it on their heads and babies can easily squeeze them.

This was fun but super tedious.I plan on making more but doing solid colors depending on the baby.

Winter Set

This set of winter items includes a scarf, a reversible beanie, and finger-less gloves. I love wearing a pair of cotton "one-size-fits-all" gloves underneath the fingerless gloves. The scarf is long enough to wrap around your neck a few times for added warmth! It is also reversible; one side is grey with a black stripe, and the other is black with a grey stripe.

I will post the Tutorial for these soon

Purse

This is a tote purse. The picture is taken of the one that I use. Inside there is a pouch and a zipper pocket. There is also a strap to hold just about anything. I use it to hold my chap stick.

Baby Loop Toy

Here is a loop toy made for a baby girl. I made this for a friends new baby girl, but I can also make it for a baby boy.
Made with light pink, dark pink, and purple. The larger ring has jingle bells inside. All rings are soft for a baby.

Fasteners Book

I made this book while I was in school. It's a book of  different types of fasteners. It was created as a way for preschoolers to work on their small motor function (hands). There are buttons, snaps, hooks, zippers, buckel, ties, Velcro, and magnet. Each page has a removable picture inside for the child to find. The picture can be changed to match the child's interests or the season. This was a template and sewn in one weekend so the edges are a little rough.

Bear With Me

I'm new to this so bear with me.
I love to crochet and sew so this is a blog where I will post pictures of my creations. I've been crocheting for almost five years and have taken my items to craft shows and Farmers Markets. I got a sewing machine about two years ago and have been sewing ever since. I love it.

I will also be posting items made by me, my husband Josh, and my grandparents. There will be sewing, crochet, wood work, and other crafts. I love doing crafts. :) My two year old has been "crocheting" with me so some day I hope to add her items.

So please leave me feedback, questions, comments.
